Langley Education Center - Langley is a special science academy focused on the environment. The new building promotes sustainability, which includes collecting rainwater in a central tank to flush the water. As a result of the planning, the school achieved one of the lowest carbon dioxide emission classifications among the schools built in the City Academies program.

In the spirit of the Government Academy Program, Langley aims to raise academic standards by reinventing the school experience. Supported by the Arbib Foundation, the school serves 1,150 students aged 11 to 18 and introduces an innovative curriculum that includes unusual subjects such as forensic medicine. The building itself is part of the learning experience, articulating the educational themes of scientific research, curating museums and sports: scientific laboratories are explored; scientific chronicling and display of exposed services and building energy consumption; and the visual connection with the playing field creates an intimate connection between the inside and the outside.

At the heart of the Academy is a large, open, flexible entrance atrium, which serves as a venue for gatherings, as well as for displaying loaned museum exhibits and school work – students are encouraged to learn about exhibition curation through hands-on experience of putting together exhibitions. exhibitions. Inside the atrium are three yellow drums, raised above the floor on circular pillars. This two-story pod houses the Academy's ten scientific laboratories and, by presenting their activities, reinforces the importance of science education. Also visible is the factory room, with a digital display behind a glass panel in the atrium where students can monitor energy use – an environmental feature of the building that saves 20 percent of water consumption and approximately 150 tons of carbon dioxide per year compared to traditional academies.

Langley Idea Summit

Langley is a form-based Academy, with classrooms arranged around two "fingers" that extend from the atrium and enclose an inner courtyard for art and IT, and define and protect an outer playground. The classrooms are highly flexible to support a wide range of formal and informal learning methods and provide spaces that the community can adapt for use outside of school hours. The special sports and culture block next to the atrium contains special music and drama facilities: a fully equipped theatre, TV and sound studio, practice hall, sports hall and lecture hall. The exterior of the Academy is clad in sustainably sourced wood panels that naturally range from orange to silver and harmonize with the horizontal and vertical arrangement of the wooden plinth.

Advising involves providing and analyzing information about students' academic goals and providing opportunities to successfully meet those goals. Education professionals and advisors are familiar with all levels of graduate education and help navigate undergraduate and graduate students. Educational professionals/counselors provide assistance with educational issues and problems experienced by students and refer students to other sources of information about financial aid, vocational/technical programs, and other non-traditional ways to obtain a post-secondary education. Below is a list of related advice/advisory aids. Additionally, the Education Specialist maintains student education records in the Air Force Automated Education Management System (AFAEMS), including, but not limited to, reviewing, approving and uploading degrees/education plans to the student's virtual education record, annotating student records and providing comprehensive advising notes.

The testing function includes the management and administration of examinations for various programs; ETS oversees the JBLE - Langley AFB National Testing Center (NTC), which provides academic tests such as CLEP, DANTES, and proctored college exams. ETS administers the AETC Type-6, PME, CDC, DLPT/DLAB and AFCT exams. For testing eligibility requirements, contact the test administrator at 633fssfsdedltesting@us.af.mil.

Program management is important to ETS. The specific tasks below, which are not all-encompassing, include the management of the entire voluntary education program.
